this is my favorite game because you can do whatever you want and you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to and truly (and emphasis on truly...) believe you're capable of. it's also a game with high tension and emotional stakes (especially because of music) that's immensely rewarding for tryhard(ish) players. best rhythm game of all time
the feeling of triumphing over the hopeless and impossible. really brutally difficult game but masterfully designed top to bottom. made me realize the value of truly difficult games made by professionals, coming from a relatively indie background
insane games with stellar soundtrack
high intensity 1 mistake = death turn based combat with like 30 minute fights. really incredibly intense, no game has matched that feeling for me. amazing feeling to overcome and felt like i went tooth and nail to overcome it (even though i intentionally played avoiding all grinding...)
the magic of exploration and getting lost amplified to 11
incredible platforming design that is never too mechanically difficult but feels very effortful to overcome regardless. like routing platformer, and considering the theme, intentional and insanely well done
